Mac app in development · Files stay on your Mac
Pick a workflow for your line of work. InOrder reads each new scan and PDF on your Mac, sorts it into your client folders, unpacks ZIPs, and holds back anything it isn't sure about. You approve the plan before anything moves.

Pick your line of work
Each workflow is made for one chore. Pick yours, point it at a folder, and read the plan before it runs. Planned ones are marked.

How it works
No rules to build. Choose a folder, pick a workflow, read exactly what it will do, then say go.
The one your scanner saves to, the client inbox everyone drops files in, or plain Downloads.
Start from one made for your line of work, or type what you want in plain words. Either way you get the same plan to read.
Every file, what will happen to it and where it goes. Anything unclear is held back and shown to you. Nothing moves until you approve.
Approve and stop, or leave Keep organized on so new files follow the same workflow. Every run lands in History, with Undo.
Safety
InOrder shows you the plan, waits when it isn't sure, and keeps a record of every change. Here is how each of those works.
See every file, what will happen to it and where it goes, before you approve anything.
Unreadable or unclear files are left exactly where they are and listed under Needs attention.
History records each change. Before restoring, Undo checks that nothing was edited since.
Unpacked ZIPs and converted images keep their originals. InOrder never deletes permanently and never overwrites a file that's already there.
The model only reads text. Fixed, checked actions do the moving.
Local by default
Confidential and privileged documents shouldn't travel to get filed. There's no account and no upload step. Reading a scan to file it happens on this Mac.

No. Reading and sorting happen on your Mac. Embedded text or OCR is read locally, then Apple Intelligence on the same Mac decides where a file goes. Only app updates and licence checks use the network.
Reading documents needs macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence. Sorting by type, unpacking ZIPs and converting JPEGs don't read file contents.
Nothing moves until you approve the plan, which lists every file, its action and its destination. Files it isn't sure about stay put under Needs attention. Every run lands in History with Undo.
Not yet. Today InOrder sorts, unpacks and converts, and keeps file names as they are. Naming files from their content is planned.
